Some of you may know me from another cooking discussion board. Got booted by some Nazi Moderator. Well, actually I booted myself for calling him out as a Nazi Moderator D-Bag who will not "wreck my world" by giving me a time out for arguing the definition of basting with some food snob. You could go to that board and check out my posts as they are still at the top of the boards!!!!

Or you can check here under my new handle which is GrillinFool which is also my website (see my sig). Of course I will bring a lot of that content here as there really is no discussion on my site. Just a place to host my pics and write up so I can post it here and get some dialogue going.

PanchoHambre shot me an email today and told me that I should pop into this forum. I'm glad he did. By scanning the titles of some of these threads I think I'm really going to enjoy posting here.

Just wanted to say hello and let some of you who knew me from the other site know what I will be posting under now. Now I'm off to the ABT, Meatloaf, and Chargriller threads because all of those subjects are near and dear to my heart....
 
I walked the fence with the mods over there, too. Funny thing is that the term "nazi" always came to my mind, too.



...I missed the ado over there....I'm gonna have to check it out.

Clear your cookies and you can go back in. Every now and again I get a hit on my site from there and I click to see what people are saying. I notice that my threads are still at the top.

The one moderator was alright. She gave me a warning for arguing with some food snob. The other guy sent me a PM about how lucky I was that she saw it first because if he had seen it I would've been in "a whole new reality." Really? WTF is that all about? Like my world would be over if I had gotten a time out or a ban!?!?! Did anyone catch my blaze of glory post where I called him and out pasted in his PM to me?

And considering that my content still dominates over there, I guess he's in a whole new reality as it seems he needed me more than I needed him!?!?!

Glad to be here. Already digging this place!!! I didn't notice but there seems to be a no sticks up the butt requirement to be here!?!?! Was that something I had to check off as part of the terms of use?!?!?!

I already do. Best cooking forum I have been on hands down. And the software is very user friendly. I can cut and past entire write ups with pics without having to link back to each individual pic. On the other board I had to individually link each picture. So that content took a long time to add. Here it's just cut and paste!!

One thing. Can I get the 12 picture limit lifted? I promise you won't be disappointed. Had to cut some pics out of my meatloaf writeup...
 
Hi GrillinFool. Nice to meet you. I'm not sure what the 12 pic limit is. There is a limit on the number of pics in one post, but I thought that was 6 or so.

I'll be happy to work with you if we need to do something special for 12 pics.

There is a 12 pic limit per post. Don't know if you can change that for an individual or if it has to be a global setting...

You can use CCleaner to clear your cookies and temp files. But since the mass exodus has begun, they are starting to ban IP Addresses now. They even banned an alt account I had but haven’t used in 6 months! Not sure how they found that one. I tried to go back last night to get a recipe I had posted years ago, and my IP was banned. Had to use a proxy to get past that just to get my own recipe!
 
Good thing I have a proxie, LOL. I can still navigate over there no problems and see anything a guest can see. I use Firefox and it clears all my cookies and personal info whenever I exit.
That and my IP address is always changing...
 
Yeah, I never understood why they even try to ban an IP? Mine isn’t static either and a I did a release and renew today and got a new one that isn’t banned. What a waste of time. :biggrin:

Wow, I remember those days! My very first modem was 300 baud. I used it to login in to BBS sites before the Internet was up and running. At 300bps, viewing posts on a BBS was like watching a teletype machine slowly scroll the lines out for display. Painful!:shock:

And yes, that argument eventually led to my demise on the other board. What a waste of bandwidth that was!?!?!

Not trying to restart that debate I think I will post the loin here at some point.

Actually the limit is 6. It is a global setting. For special occasion maybe I'll bump it up for a short while and let you go wild, then I'll back it down. We do have to consider that some still do not have high speed available. I live in the sitcks and just got high speed internet last May. Finally. :clap:

Give me a shout if I can help you ...even if it is temporary.
