Yeah.. when that tune first came out, everyone was singing it in the halls at school and pointing at me.
This guy I had a huge crush on who played bass drum in the marching band (Boomer-he was a dead ringer for Jackson Browne) was the one I had to "propose" to during my YGA initiation.
Embarrassing!!!!!
That song and that incident brings back special memories.
He drove a cool car.. his back seat was nice.

Well...... never mind.
I played the flute in band. lol

Yep, thats the original. The one I posted was after their "heydey"...they might have been on the State Fair circuit by then!!:lol:

"Memory" is a perfect word, and I know what you mean. Music is like a time machine for me-certain songs take me back to a time and a place from my past. My grandkids are going to inherit a hell of a big album and CD collection someday (quite a few high end guitars too!)

Music has been the one constant in my life!!

Bob, I could mostly tell you where I was, what I was doing and what I was wearing when I first heard __ song.
Music is very much a part of my life too, always has been, always will be.
 
I've never been to this bar, but my usual haunts the bartenders know exactly what I'm drinking when I walk in the door. Is this a sign of a problem?

Actually, in the last 2 weeks:

A/C Died
Front Steps collapsed
Door Knob on the back door seized up (and I knocked it out with an axe)
Lawn Mower Died
Bay Window in the LR started leaking
Hot Water heater went out
DW Sliced her hand and needed stitches
Speedometer cable on my car snapped
Check Engine Light on my car came on
Front left tire on my car went flat
My neighbor is a moron and asks me the SAME electrical question everyday (how many times can I explain it????)
It rains EVERY OTHER DAY here


But, I fixed the AC, the steps, and the window. The Doorknob DW tried to buy a new one and bought the wrong one, but I exchanged it today for the right one (it works now!). DW gets stitches out Wednesday. Fixed the tire and don’t really care about the other parts just yet! Gave my neighbor a book on electricity and wiring, replaced the heating element in the hot water heater, bought a new lawn mower that mulches and the lawn looks great.

Can’t do squat about the rain though! :yum:

All in all, I’m actually in a pretty darn good mood. Those two songs I actually heard on the way home on a local rock station. I rarely listen to the radio, but today I did, and the DJ played those back to back. I really got a kick out of those songs and thought I’d share.

That which does not kill us only makes us stronger. I should be bullet proof by now…….but I’m not dumb enough to NOT know it COULD be worse.

So cheers, and another whisky please!! :clap:
