i turned in a project today that asked for my age, height, weight, & a 3-day food diary, with a nutritional analysys, & 4 q's regarding stuff like improving my habits. it was kinda invasive, or is that just me? that may be a very squirmy project for some peple, either too thin OR overweight or obese!
granted it's for a health class, wowsers, though, a litlle breathing room, thanks!

Sounds reasonable for a health class. Those are the kinds of questions a dietician would ask. I'd guess the instructor wants to get some basic information about each student in order to teach you how to improve them, not just for yourself, but for others as well. You might have a family someday whom you want to keep healthy

i am seeing a dietician tomorrow, actually, so this was just a dry run, huh?:glare::hide2:he didn't need to know my weight!

Well, height and weight together determine the body-mass index (BMI), which doctors and dieticians use to determine whether someone's weight is normal or they are over- or underweight. All of this is important to determining how healthy a person is and whether there are habits or food choices a person needs to change to be healthy.

I can see how the questions might seem invasive if someone is sensitive about any of the questions, but a great teaching technique is to make the lesson personal. It will help you remember it better

i don't know, gotgarlic, i see why my info that i'm definately not sensitive 'bout (i'm 28, 5' 6", & 149 pounds) may offend a sensitive person.

so, i went to the dietician, she wasn't nearly as nebby. i liked her. she was cool. she gave me free boost & boost breeze. she wants me to lose weight more slowly, i'm not sure if i'm okay with that, though.

Wow, luvs, if she's giving you Boost, you should listen to her. You must be losing wayyyy too fast.
