The big 250.... What are you doing this weekend?

We are getting together with friends for swimming, grilling, and playing board games. At night, we will watch fireworks from their place. We are still cobbling together the menu. So far we have:
Brats
Sweet Italian sausage
Fresh corn on the cob
All above to be grilled.
Sauerkraut
Sauteed peppers and onions
Sides are still being considered.
Cheesecake
Star-Spangled cake
Assorted snacks and drinks

Defiance- where my kids and grandkids live, are having their celebration is on the 3rd.
Ours here is on the 4th.
So, I may go to both
As far as food, I'm sure that'll be present
I can see our local fireworks from the street out front, as well as the people behind me setting them off over the pond.

We are invited to a neighbor and she said she is providing food and beverages. I have no clue what.
The gun club will be open so will go and shoot some skeet.

Looks like Mother Nature may cancel the fireworks for tomorrow night in Defiance.

Ocean fishing off my kayak. It is this weeks only safe weather day. Lots of great white encounters lately so I’ll be on the lookout. If I catch anything, I’ll do a quick Thai style whole fish fry.
At night, I’ll be sitting and sleeping on the living room floor hugging my trembling dog. He turns to goo at the percussion of this holiday.

Just enjoying the cool calm staying inside.
Talked to Ty this afternoon.
He said they're just grilling hot dogs and he got some sparklers for the kids.
Tomorrow night a few of us are going to watch the fireworks from here.
