Taco Pasta Salad

Ingredients:
2 cups uncooked spiral pasta
1 pound ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
3 cups shredded lettuce
2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup Catalina salad dressing
Tortilla chips
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the taco seasoning; cool.
Drain pasta and rinse in cold water; stir into meat mixture. Add the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onion, green pepper and dressing; toss to coat. Serve with tortilla chips. Yield: 6 servings. __________________

This sounds great HC!!! Actually I'm two ingredients off or I would be making this tonight!
 
Here is a recipe to make some.

1 cup catsup (your choice)
1 cup cider vingar
1 cup salad oil
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp seasoned salt
1 tbsp celery salt
Put in a blender or mix with a mixer in a bowl. Put in a cool place till ready to use.

Here is another one that I like a bit better.

1 cup catsup (your choice)
1 cup cider vingar
1 cup salad oil
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp seasoned salt
1 tbsp celery salt

Put in a blender or mix with a mixer in a bowl.

Mix well and refrigerate

We think so....it's quick and easy and filling. It's like having a taco in a bowl. lol Hope you enjoy it.

Homecook, I got to looking at this recipe, and it sounds similar quite similar to a salad one of my friends made, many years ago. It was so good! She kept promising it to share it with me, but never came through.

Now, we're gonna have some taco salad!
