This was easy and just okay. I'd rather have all that stuff as a sub with pickles, onions, and hots.

I love stromboli, only reason I don't make it more is because I look at yeast and it dies. I like to add a pesto spread on the inside and serve it with a tomato sauce to dip it in. For years I thought Christmas bread was actually Stromboli because my grandfather would make it every Christmas.

Well, Lifealope, if you love stromboli and are as anti-yeast as I am, this is the recipe for you! Great idea about spreading pesto on the dough before layering the deli slices!
