Street Tacos

Yesterday I bought some nice corn tortillas that look almost hand made. What do you all use to season your taco meat? I want a more authentic street taco recipe. I know I could google it, but... I was thinking of getting a chuck roast to slow cook for the taco meat.

Oh yeah, Guts.
He was really a nice guy.

Maybe he's like some others and check out other places then stay.
Don't know why.
I think we're the friendliest cooking forum on the net.

It was all excellent nosh except for the tortillas. They were dry and mealy But then I didn’t fry them in lard - will do something different next time. The broth was wonderful and added a can of chick peas and rice at the table. The chick peas were simmered in beef broth, then added to the rest of the broth in the crock pot after I took the meat out. Last night we are had all the leftovers as soup and added another can of chick peas and box of broth. The tortillas were tossed and a lesson learned.
