The South Beach Wine and Food Festival is a star-studded destination event showcasing wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities held at various venues in Miami Beach and Coral Gables Feb. 19-22; $20-$1,000. 877-762-3933, www.sobewineandfoodfest.com. I have had friends who have attended. It is very expensive and you get to see a lot of beautiful people and food. Unfortunately, the last time I was at the condo during the Fest, I couldn't get anyone to go with me and wouldn't go down there by myself.
 
I understand how you feel about going alone. I feel the same.
Peoples' own schedules often don't jive with mine. But it's just not as fun going alone.
 
I understand Mario Batali insulted a bunch of folks while there. I think he is an amazing chef and most likely a super taster.
