Wife Tina's recipe for Kielbasa and cabbage.**
In a slow cooker...( I used a 6 Quart ).... I added a one pound ring of smoked Kielbasa cut into 1" pieces into the slow cooker and 1/2 a large head of chopped cabbage, and a large chopped onion on top the kielbasa. Added two boxes beef stock approx. so as to cover the cabbage. I sprinkled a tsp. of McCormick's salt free Garlic and Herb seasoning,
1 Tbs. Dried Chives, and1 tsp. of fine ground black Pepper. I added 3 peeled and quartered Idaho potatoes.
Cook on LOW for 8 hours; making sure the kielbasa is pushed down into the cabbage and liquid.
**( Smoked Kielbasa was a store brand made and packaged in Lancaster, PA for Weis Markets. ) This is the brand I used, But there are other's similar that can be used. The quantities and seasonings, can be adjusted accordingly: and this recipe / directions are what I used.
