Wow, what a great video. What an effort to save this magnificent animal.
On the other hand, I couldn't help but think what kind of irresponsible idiot would discard his nylon fishing net in this manner. Three cheers for the rescuers

It's more likely that the whale swam into and was entangled. Those nets are not cheap.
