12X8X1 1/2 in. Himalayan Salt Block heated @ 350* for 1-hr. on the Big Green Egg.

Served with Sticky Rice and Succotash. Tasty, I love cooking on the Salt Block it gives another flavor de-mention.

ross , thanks for the post. i'd asked about grilling on salt blocks about a year ago with no replies. they look pretty cool.

so, can you describe the special nature of grilling on salt? does it heat quickly? does it smoke or give off some other taste?
 
Thanks for the welcome, When I lite my BGE I put the salt block on the grate so it heats slowly when the dome temp reaches 350* I start cooking. I found with the Salt Block the fish is more moist and flavorful
