This is the one word that makes me irritated and grinds like nails on a chalkboard.
Instead of using this you can use words like; Everyone or Everybody

Add to that, my mother grew up in Clewiston, in the Everglades, until she went north for college. And I lived with my Irish grandmother for a couple years when I was 10-11. l say y'all all of the time; it just slips out of my mouth. But I also use many of my grandmother's expressions, but without her brogue. I lived in Canada for 7 years in the 70s, and it took a few years to get rid of those speech patterns. Sassy, I can fully appreciate how you came back to the States "talking funny" for a while.Wait until our long-time member SilverSage/Kathy moves to Ireland.
She was born in Detroit, lives in South Florida and I can almost guarantee she's going to pick up a different "something" about a year after living there.![]()
Oh, yes! Where can I find that???? Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch.
She doesnât use a handbag. She has a wallet cover for her iPhone.I just need the key near me to operate the car. I have it buried in my handbag so I don't forget it in my pocket or wherever.
Rant?
Well, I did it. Nancy had two big bowls of tomatoes on the front porch. I picked up the smaller one and set it insides the door. I then picked up the bigger heavier one and as I stepped in caught my left toe on the door threshold, and went down hard on the concrete on my left hip and knee, both replaced. I laid there for a while and called for Nancy but she was upstairs with her TV on. I finally got up and got tomatoes to the kitchen but am in pain now but know I didnât break anything. Iâll take a naproxen before bed in a bit. Itâs always something. BTW, I got the bowl down as I was falling and didnât spill the tomatoes. Crazy.
Itâs a deep hip bruise but knee isnât bothering me like last night.Holy cow, John.
Hope you're not too sore today.
