(I didn't know which forum to put this in. Move if necessary.)

Did some pickling - kirbys, jalapeños and eggs.

I love just about everything that's pickled.
I have a recipe for sweet/sour/hot pickles that starts with store bought sour pickles. You add sugar and tobasco, etc.
If you want it, I'll type it out for you. They're really good, but probably not so good for a person who shouldn't have a lot of sugar.

Cooksie, I would love the recipe. I made these mostly for DD. DD loves them. The jalapeños are way to hot for me. I think she would love your recipe. TIA

You're probably going to want to cut this down. I didn't because I gave some away.

1 gal whole sour pickles
1 4 lb bag of sugar
1 bottle of Tobasco sauce, size depends of the amt of heat that you want

Drain and discard the juice from the pickles and cut them into 1/4" rings
Layer pickles, sugar, tobasco until you've used all

Turn them every once in a while until the sugar has dissolved. The juice from the pickles and the dissolved sugar with make enough juice.
