Peppadew Peppers

I recently made an Italian sausage dish where the recipe called for chopped peppadew peppers. https://netcookingtalk.com/forums/threads/spinach-and-ricotta-gnudi.31622/#post-342306 I'd never had them, but set off to find some, and saw on the internet that I could get them at Whole Foods, an upscale, mainly organic supermarket near me. I expected to find them in the condiments aisle, near the pickles and olives.

Nope. I looked in the area of the produce aisle where they had packaged salads, slaws, and olives in plastic containers, and lo! there were containers of peppadews!

These are called mild, but they do have some heat, and are in a fairly sweet liquid. I immediately started to think of how I could use them as a stuffed appetizer.

Anyway, I'm not fond of sweet flavors in my savory dishes, so I drained and rinsed the peppers I needed for my recipe before chopping and adding them. As it turns out, I could have used more than the 1/4 cup called for.
