There's no foto's of me in existence coz I'm camera phobic bad but...my eldest son is coming to visit next week and he's a professional photographer. He wants to take fotos of me and I so don't wanna say no but...help!!!! :hide:

Haha! I'm the same way and my daughter is a photographer too. She's always trying to get pics of me.
Just go for it and have fun, maybe if you do it this once he won't bother you anymore. lol He would probably like some nice pics of his mom to keep around.

I'm the same way...I don't like my picture taken either but you need to just grin and bear it (no Biskit...I didn' say bare it...I said bear it) because later on down the road you and everyone who shares in them will have some wonderful memories.

Mama's right, later on, you'll wish you had those pics! I too shy from the camera, but have lately wished I hadn't as much time has been lost now! Go for it, strut your stuff and enjoy!!!

Guess you're right, Mama, one day I won't be here for him anyway. I got no foto's of my Mom and I hate that, so guess I should let him have some of his.

Along with grin and bear it though, is a little dutch courage allowed? :whistling: LOL

LOL I'm a little old to be strutting my stuff now but..I get your point. Thanks Keltin!

I HATE HATE HATE having my photo taken... true story... not this time but the last time I went to get my drivers license I was the first in the long line of folks to get my photo taken. Snap, went the camera. They took about 10 more shots and we all sat there waiting to pick up our copies.... They called my name over the speaker with this announcement " Mrs Shaffer, We're sorry but you broke the camera we need to retake your photo and all the photos that came after you, can you come back up"?

I've never been so mad or embarrrrrrrraassssssssed in my life!!!!

Caitlin, You can.

If you think it you can do it

That was not good. No wonder you don't like having your phot taken.

I like taking really informal shots, I think when people take photos formally, it doaes get horrid. If you are doing something & enjoying yourself, a quick snap of you having fun will lokk much better.

I have to agree the best shots come when folks don't know their being snapped. Like the best ones of my kids are of them mucking about on the beach none the wiser of the camera.

I was just looking at my camera on my desk collecting dust. I was also pondering how my youngin is growing by the foot and wondering why I don't have more shots of us.:bonk:

Don't look back at life in regret. Capture your memories.

Since I take most of the pictures, I'm missing from lots of family event pictures. The pics of me that I enjoy have been taken by my fishing friends, and I I've told DW to use one of those for the paper if I croak before her. it's important to have at least one good pic of yourself alive for the undertaker to post in the paper. Here's my recent fav taken in February in Tennessee...

Do those waders make me look fat?:mrgreen:

Good thread Catlin, and good pic Joe. :thumb:

My mom was the same way. Back when we had to develop our pictures I had more pics of her holding her hand up in front of her face than I had pics of her face. I would try to be quick and sneak one and she'd get that darn hand up just in time. She has mellowed with age and now will put up with her pic being taken. At least I don't have to pay to develop a picture of a hand, that was irritating.

I had pictures of our family from the time the kids where born on, that is till Hurricane Andrew hit us in homestead. Needless to say we lost all but a few and those we saved where damaged. I often wish I had those pictures now and I know my kids would love to have them also.
