In 1973 I made a soufflé, it fell and never made another. I think that how Dutch babies were born.

the water to rice ratio got me every time. soggy rice...to crunchy undercooked rice and everything in between. or once, very soggy rice that was overcooked.
this time, I presoaked the rice, and toasted the drained grains like a pilaf. seemed to work. wish I noted the volume of water I used. I just dumped some hot water in...mostly to not crack my claypot with a splash of cold water.
