Mon, 10/17~what's cooking?

What's for Dinner, October 17, 2011

Leftover vegetable soup from Saturday along with a skillet of Mama's cornbread.

Jim

The skillet is cast iron. Cornbread just isn't right in anything else!

I think I will have a Taco salad. No carb laden corn shells for me..

I had steak & scrambled eggs with slice of really great tomato for brunch. Way to much Pumpkin Spice coffee tho.

Tonight I'm planning on "Citrus-Marinated Mahi-Mahi with Mandarin Orange Segments", accompanied by "Cauliflower with Tomatoes & Cumin", a big green salad, & some warm naan bread.

Well, that cod that I was planning on cooking Saturday night never happened. Got a knock on the door Saturday evening around five, and a neighbor said that water was running all out in the street and that it looked like it was coming from my yard. Sure enough, it was gushing. The water guy came out, said the problem was on my side of course , so he cut the water off. I had water, just no running water, so I had frozen eggrolls Saturday and Sunday night.

Got the problem fixed :biggrin: and tonight will be the cod with a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, butter, lemon juice, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, etc.

Had spaghetti tonight.
DW made the sauce.. Meat sauce...my unfavorite; but the kids came to eat after work.

DW also made a apple crunch or crisp whatever. It was good!
No real good pics tonight.
just a bunch of facemouths with spaghetti hanging out like mops rinsing in the toilet. O M G ...what a sight!

I'm not eating low carb on purpose. I just like a lot of low carb stuff. I still eat loaded baked potatoes, carbonara.......all those really high carby things.

^ Mmm, that looks really good. And the sausage and eggs above sounds yummy, too. I love when people actually post pictures in these threads. <3
