i now introduce you to a new food group...introducing Moink balls
but what are moink balls you ask? here you go.....
MOINK Balls shall consist of pre-made beef meatballs, pork bacon, seasonings, an optional glaze or sauce, and toothpicks.
there is a not so secret society associated with these..to become a member and get a certificate as an official MOINK Baller, please follow these rules and submit your entries here.
here are the rules...
1. MOINK Balls shall consist of pre-made beef meatballs, pork bacon, seasonings, an optional glaze or sauce, and toothpicks. Balls made of any other ingredients may not be referred to as MOINK Balls and may not use any name that mimics MOINK Balls or contains the term MOINK (or moink). The only exceptions to this requirement are those that use home made meat balls due to difficulties in obtaining pre-made meatballs outside of the US and CANADA.
2. MOINK Balls must be cooked out of doors using a wood or charcoal fire. Balls cooked indoors or using a fuel source other than wood or charcoal can not be considered for certification. It is important to note that pellets that are made of wood are acceptable as a fuel source for MOINK Balls.
3. At a minimum the MOINK Balls must be verified by clear digital photographs. These photographs must include proof that pre-made meatballs were used in the fabrication process as well as the finished product. Optionally, frozen samples of the MOINK Balls under consideration can be shipped to the President of the International MOINK Ball Society for approval. If this method of certification is chosen, a minimum of 6 MOINK Balls should be submitted.
4. Full photographic documentation of the MOINK Ball fabrication and cooking process is optional. Preference will not be given to those applicants who provide full photographic documentation, but we thank you for doing so.
MOINK Ball Certification Process:
1. Prepare your MOINK Balls according to the requirements detailed above and document the use of pre-made meatballs and the end result and, optionally, the fabrication and cooking process.
2. Submit the above photographic documentation for review by the Certification Committee by posting the documentation in a thread in the Outdoor section of the NCT forum. Make sure to include the term "MOINK Balls" in your thread title. Failure to do so, or failure to use the official spelling of MOINK (not Moink or moink or any other variation) may result in disqualification.
3. Be patient. The Certification Committee is made up of volunteers and they will review your submission as their time allows.
