I’m going to be making these for the first time. The bulb itself are 3 inches in diameter. Will they get done in the center? Should I cut them in half?

I grilled them whole a few years ago and were good.

Mine weren’t 3” in diameter, more like 1.5”.

I grew up in El Paso. people there just grill them to char and beyond.

me? I didnt love them. I wrapped mine in foil initially to get it started and then unwrapped them for the char. not entirely worth the effort in my opinion.

I like the long white sections of the Korean onion better.
