I didn't go Saturday as I was dog sick with stomach, and my niece had a sleep over fri/sat and wanted to sleep all day sat.
Sat/Sun. she had another sleep over, but at her house, so I picked her and her friend around noon. We got there around 12:30 under thunder, and very gray skies. They were not enthused and it began to rain about 20 minutes later.
It was beautifully set up, and lively, but a $5 entry, no food eatin, and I really wanted to try gator nuggets. And it was all local food stuff, which I like to support.
So we left and went to my dad's for alittle while for a visit.
I brought them home and my sister-inlaw said they slept the rest of the day.
I swear, it hasn't rained in what, maybe six months, and it picked this day. But they did put on a good fest, and it was their first "annual", so I'll be there next year. The money raised was for charity, and they said they did well. So all was not lost. And boy, I think a week of that rain would be welcome too.
Next year my niece will be driving (dear Lord!) so either she'll decide to go and drive (I promised her I'd teach her how to drive a stick shift), or I'll go without her.
(Buzz, I hope there's another function in town before you go back so we can meet.)
