Let's talk about our pets.

My Dane Fawn Girl again

Today was kitty grooming day. Normally, the kitties are fine with it. We start with Burt's Bees Kitty Wipes, then comb the loose fur off of them. Then claw trims, buff the ends and end with a Churro kitty treat.

I wrangled them all day. Mance went along with it all grumpily. Normally he huffs a bit and then settles and purrs. Nope. He growled. I was shocked only to have Ygritte up the anti acting like a teen who was happy living in her own funk. She started with sorta playful swipes. Then hissed! Actually hissed. Osha took off while I had to wrangle Ygritte who pouted as her claws were trimmed. Osha wanted me to chase her. Nope. I cleaned up a bit and then caught her after she climbed in the kitty tree. She immediately turned into a kitty-liquid. I had to pour her in the bundle blanket and turn her into a kitty purrito to get her claws trimmed and buffed. She was miffy. All three were miffy. Not so miffy they would not enjoy their kitty treat of churros, but they ate their churros and walked away with their backs turned at me to regroom themselves. I cleaned up and took a nap. All three were huddled around me so I guess I have been forgiven. Three weeks, we can do this again. Maybe I will warm some water to use the natural tooth brush to groom around their mouths. They seem to especially like that.

When they were babies, they would curl up, sleep, purr, etc. I think I have teenage kitties all of the sudden.

Edit: Osha is still miffy.
