Hi! I was thinking of getting a Kindle. Does anyone have it? Is it worth it..I love books but I am running out of shelves. I hate to part with them, esp if I enjoy the story.
I say the Kindle on Amazon and Target.. many varieties..any clues as to which one and where to purchase...
Thanks in Advance :thankyou:

I don't have one but would be curious to hear from those who do.

I bought one for Tina oh say 7 months ago. She loves it.
It's the original Kindle..and it seriously looks like a page in a book.
She likes the audio books so she can just relax and listen, aqnd even in the car she listens.
I paid 200.00 and some when I bought it, and three weeks later, Amazon dropped the price to 179.00.
I e-mailed / called them..and they gave me the difference in the money back into my checking account. They were really nice about it too.

If you are a reader...it's a wonderful thing to buy.
Other stores like barnes and Noble have them, and they are a little cheaper, but I fell more secure with Amazon.

What is nice, is you can shop with the kindle itself, and dowload a book in like a minute or so. They have a really extensive library too.

Only thing is it is not in color. The picture screen that is.

I don't think one is in my future :sorry:

I like books to much.

I pick up books at thrift stores for next to nothing. Library book sales. I have bought books off Amazon , however you need to watch that.
I get books at Wal Mart too.

My DD has a NOOK. She buys what she wants to read, sometimes its $10 +. For that cost ,I would rather have the book, thats just me. I can say its been a while since I even bought a book for $10.

Yet I don't think twice about that for a cookbook I want lol. I want to open that cookbook & see the pics too.

I just happen to love a book for the pure feel of it.

If I traveled it would be ok I guess. Still , I am 'thrifty' I have no need for one. I am still stuck back in the good ole days where lots of doodads don't interest me.
