I have no idea what spice this is

A friend gave me this bag of spice that his father got from a friend. It is supposed to be an iranian spice, but I couldn't find its identity.

I don't recognize it either but stick around. We have a lot of members and I'll bet that someone knows what it is. You don't say where you are located. I have Middle Eastern markets near me and I would take it to them for identification and also how it is used.

I have a persian cookbook but it doesn't list any beetles as ingredients.
