I ran across this bread the other day at the supermarket and let me tell you, I am hooked!

This morning I made my "eggy breakfast thingy"-

2 eggs, a few drops of milk and a T of butter whipped up in a bowl, nuke until set.

It takes on the shape of the bowl of course.

Then I plopped the egg thing atop of the bottom round, added some baked beans ontop of that.. squished the top on and had a wonderfully delicious messy breakfast!

I've tried that bread just a few day's ago in a fish market.

That's the same place I've purchased my Pickled Habenero's.

You tried the bread in a fish market?
'Splain Lucy...
Yuppers, they had extra virgin olive oil with basil spice in the bottom of a peach tree dish for a trail, And it was AWESOME.

This little market is so freaking awesome. I can't believe I've never been in the place before.

No I haven't actually.

I am sure it has.

You would be disappointing now, So many touristy type stores has gone out of business and all we have now is hooters, banks, bars.
My family had a summer home up there when I was a kid.
The last time I visited was around '94-ish.

One word: Cherries.
That is my memory of Traverse City, aside from the great seafood places and mom and pop restaurants tucked away, the water... and the place where I lost my virginity.

That's another topic for another thread.:dizzy::thumb:

We have tried it Muffin and it is pretty good bread. My wife tends to buy fresh baked bread or plain old white bread but will occasionally pick this up. To be honest we probably throw out more bread than we eat here. I would love to buy half a loaf.

Well Traverse City is still known for it's cherries, but the city is run down thanks to a political person.

Not sayin' a word............not sayin' a word......................nope, gonna keep stum..................................
Haha CHICKEN :p

Muffins they are pretty gross.

It looks pretty versatile. And it is nice to like the looks of what you are eating. Square mini pizzas just don't cut it for me, even if it's the same dough and texture. And the egg sandwich reminds me of an English muffin.

Those muffins are good, They're the only kind of muffins I like.

Ever had "Traverse City Chicken"?

The country club I worked at in MI used to have on that the catering menu.

Just curious - what is a peach tree dish?

Cool Allen!!

Nope, not as I recall, however.. you made me find the recipe :-)

Ingredients

4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 jars (15 oz.) Bertolli alfredo sauce
1 can whole artichoke hearts
1 1/2 cups dried cherries
pasta of your choice- I prefer penne for this dish.
2 tbs of butter

Directions

Cut the chicken into 1 in cubes. Sautee chicken in butter until done. Add alfredo sauce and simmer for 10 minutes. Add Cherries and cook until the cherries are succulent and rehydrated. Just before serving add artichoke hearts just until they are hot. serve over pasta and ENJOY!

Number of Servings: 4

Ah I was referring to Sass Muffin as Muffin Derek not talking about muffins in general.

i've never heard of the bread but it does look good. I'll have to look for it next time i'm at the grocerie store.
