Hundreds of aircraft mechanics improperly licensed

That's the first time I've read about the testing procedure being that corrupt. What a dangerous practice that one is. The FAA is usually better than most other gov agencies because there are so many rules and regs but there seems to be some serious slippage between the cracks in this case.
 
Just another reason to turn our medical system over to the Government. I watched Cspan last nite on Climate Change Legislation, it was sickening. Carbon tax, not once was it mentioned every time you crack open a Pepsi, CO2 is released. Or tobacco
 
Got an A&P ticket in 1976. At a very good school.

Let me just say - even passing a test does not a mechanic make. I wouldn't let 1/2 of my class touch one of my cars, much less an aircraft. But they worked in class for about 45 hours a week, for two year straight, taking things apart and putting them back together, sans summer break, passed tests, and passed the A&P ticket test. opefully they never turned a wrench. Ever.
