How are you making your coffee?

Just my wife and I. We do side by side pour over coffee. I use a regular electric kettle without the long snorkel pour spout. Not ideal, but it’s worked for years. I jog. Get home and get the water boiling w the electric kettle while i shower. Get dressed and do the pour overs.

My family is flying in soon. I’m not loving the idea of doing 5-6 pour overs. I only have two filter holders anyway.

I punted and bought a coffee maker. I wanted a good one but the cost hurt. One came up on Facebook marketplace priced fair. A clean unit so I bought it. I ordered a descaling agent to run thru the machine first. I also ordered the proper filters.

I’m hoping the Moccomaster from the Netherlands (?) works as well as advertised.

You?

I do pour over and my wife does French press. She does a special decaf and grinds her own beans. I’m not fussy and like a medium or breakfast coffee. I do like stronger coffee and espresso when eating in a nicer restaurant.

I have an automatic drip coffeemaker, Mr. Coffee, I think. There is a coffee factory (New England Coffee) in my town and I buy my whole beans from them at their retail store. I mix flavored beans with decaf beans, 50:50, and grind what I need each morning.

Hubby has a 14 cup Cuisinart. He drinks the whole pot throughout the day (it's not strong enough 😉). I make one 12 oz cup in my Keurig, Members Mark French Roast, with a little cinnamon and honey. I usually end up putting ice in it since I don't drink it fast enough!
