Rub a bit of olive oil on the lamb chops. Press one side of the chop into the chopped herb mixture.

Set a saute pan on high to heat it well. Drizzle a bit of olive oil into the pan. Sear the chop on the herb side first, 2 minutes. Flip and cook 2 more minutes for rare. (this will depend on how large the chop is)

Mmmmmm! Might have to surprise DH with these tonight! He loves lamb chops. Yesterday was his birthday, but my best friend taught me to celebrate Birthday Week, so it's Day 3 for DH (the day before is Birthday Eve, then Birthday Day, then BD+1, etc.). Looks delish!

Now that takes commitment! Okay, now I need ideas - what kinds of things do you do to celebrate for a month?

Wow, that close-up was magnificent!

What are the yellow things, Vera?

Those look so good, but then so does everything you do Vera!

(I ever get to take a trip out Joisey Way, don't be surprised when there is a knock at your door and I am standing there with my brood wantin to know what's for dinner!)

Mav, I'd love to cook for you and the brood!!

Lee, that's the ricotta gnocchi. I boiled them first, and then tossed them in grated beets I'd sauteed with roasted garlic, lemon zest and orange olive oil.

Yeeeeeeeeee -UMMMMMMMM!!!!

Yellow beets must be so much LESS messy to work with than red ones. Right?

They are a little harder to come by, the flavour is just a bit mellower, but the colour is beautiful and you don't get red hands!
