Grandma's Corn Pudding (internet)

that's not far off my own "re-perfected" 1950's recipe that was a staple on Granny's + Aunt's table.

combine:
400g creamed corn
300g corn kernels, drained
4 tablespoons AP flour
3 large eggs
0. 5 tsp salt
100 g granulated white sugar
(note: we're not sweet tooths; I use 70g)

60g melted butter
(if your doctor is hounding you on cholesterol,,,, 50 g olive oil)

5 fluid ounces condensed milk
10 fluid ounces (1% to whole) milk

combine and mix.
bake at (preheated) 400'F=205'C for 55-70 minutes depending on degree of browning desired.

we have three kids - they all go ga-ga for this side dish . . .
I use local fresh corn sliced off the cob & frozen for the "corn kernels"
creamed corn per national brand , , ,

Well, I'm not crazy about it. Too bland for me. I topped it with some pickled jalapeno slices, but might like it better if I used diced fresh jalapenos in it.

Dad loved it, of course - it's sweet.

I might try Chowder's recipe some time, since it makes less. If I can convert the amounts. I gave a lot to Kathy.

I think it looks scrumptious!
Like your Dad, I'd love it.
I'll be making minute steaks with onion gravy to have with mine.
