Going to see any good concerts in the near future ??

Just curious who is going to see what this year.

In July, I will go see Ringo Starr in concert. Seen him the past few times around, and look forward to seeing him again. Also hoping Billy Joel and Elton John will swing this way. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing Paul McCartney at Citifield and Billy Squire.

Never been into concerts. Loud, crowded, music isn't the same as what's played on the radio, never close enough to the stage.... and they are wayyy too expensive.
Except for Jimmy Buffet, those are fun. :) :) :)

But by golly, if you like them have a hell of a good time! :)

I saw Elton John and Billy Joel together quite a few years ago and they were fantastic, Larry! You will definitely enjoy it if you get the chance to see them. I haven't been to a concert in 4 or 5 years, but I'm hoping to get to again soon. The last few I went to were Leon Russell, James Taylor, Crosby, Stills and Nash, John Mayer and Alanis Morrisette.

I've heard a rumor of Bon Jovi tickets for my birthday, but I'm not planning on holding my breath...... although I WOULD hold my breath for Jon...... :D

Ive actually had the pleasure of seeing both of them, but this time around i was going to take the kids so they can see and appreciate what a real show is instead of thinking every music star is bread from a reality show or a disney/ nickelodeon series that they shove down your throat.

What is funny is that their ipods have so many songs from artists that me and my wife like. When we are in the car for a long drive, we usually play a music guessing game with them. I scan through the stations, leaving each station on for a few seconds and they have to guess who it is, name of the song, or for extra points, sing 10 consecutive words without a mistake or skipping one. Anyway, the point is that i hear them yelling out " stevie wonder, barry white, elton john, Paul McCartney, The Doobie Brothers, the Beach Boys" .... and it cracks me up that they know all these artists.

Lou and I just saw the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (again for the umpteenth time!) with the Blind Boys of Alabama - a great jazzy gospel group. Next week we are seeing Dr. John!

I haven't been to a concert in ages. The last concert I attended was the Gypsy Kings several years ago.
The only 'musical' event I attend these days are drum circles. Last night I participated in a spiritual drum circle with about 25 other participants. Very peaceful evening with soothing tones...
