I just popped down to the town grocer for a lemon and lookee what followed me home.
I'm not a big fan of strips, but at this price I'm a big fan :thumb: Looks to have a nice amount of "flavoring" too

You're right, Joe. I might have to go back tomorrow. The other two that were in the case really tailed down and didn't look as nice. I'll pop back in there and see if they have any more on display in a day or two.

I've gotten use to buy meats in bulk after 5 years of buying whole animals. Even now that I've lost my supplier I will still buy in bulk when it comes to meats. I do have 15.4 cubic feet of total freezer space to store it so not a problem for me.

Looks great Fred!

My dad used to buy the whole animal as well, but it was one of those arrangements where you got a list of all the cuts you get with it and when you wanted some you called ahead then went and picked it up.
So I guess that is a little different than actually buying it and bringing it all home to store in your own freezer.

Thanks, Mav.
Like last year, the local store seems to have buys on loins now and then. It certainly makes buying a half or quarter side pointless because there is so much waste, the price/lb just doesn't work out.
