Get Your Kicks On Route 66 is a popular rhythm and blues standard, composed in 1946 by American songwriter Bobby Troup. He was an American actor, jazz pianist, singer, and songwriter. He acted in the role of Dr. Joe Early with his wife Julie London in the television program Emergency! in the 1970s. Nat King Cole, with the King Cole Trio, first recorded the song the same year, and it became a hit, appearing on Billboard magazine's R&B and pop charts.

Route 66 TV show - Nelson Riddle was commissioned to write the instrumental theme when CBS decided to have a new song, rather than pay royalties for the Bobby Troup song "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66."

I added Manhattan Transfer. Kind of a quirky bunch but they’ve done good things.
