figured I would surprise my wife with a fresh garden Galette. the tomatoes were worth turning my oven on during a California heat wave.

(2027 will be install AC year..hahahah)

Now she just asked me to make one for her Mahjong game with the friends tomorrow.

Beautiful, Hobie! I had hopes of making one of those, too, with my garden tomatoes this summer, but I've only been getting one or two small ones here and there. Worst tomato year for me in over 30 years!

Bummer! I’ve had five bad years in a row. Trying to beat the river rats to the ripe fruit. This time I pulled them early. No issues. I leave a few for the competition:)

It's full blast 100°+ heat advisory summer in north Texas yet. Cooler next week, 90's. Last year it didn't get cold until January, Christmas was 82°, great fall garden year. We can have freezes in October and we can have 80's in February. They are calling for a cooler wetter October, might just make for great tomatoes!
