Freezeable Mashed Potatoes

As you all know I'm catering my DD's wedding so I've been looking for recipes that will freeze well. These mashed potatoes were amazing!

3 lbs. Yukon Gold Potatoes
1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup of buttermilk
salt and pepper to taste

Boil the potatoes until fork tender. Drain thoroughly and return to the pot. Mash the potatoes until the desired consistency. Cut the block of cream cheese into 8 pieces. Add to the hot potatoes. Stir until melted. Stir in the buttermilk, salt and pepper.
 
I've heard of using the cream cheese if you're planning on freezing, but the buttermilk sounds like a nice addition.
