I went here for the first time the other evening, invited by my Marine son who is stationed not far away. My overall opinion of the place is "OH, MY GOD!" Don't worry, that Oh, My God is in a good way.
Boy, oh boy, do these people ever know how to feed a person!!
First and foremost, you MUST be a carnivore to appreciate this
restaurant !
Make sure you are in the mood to eat when you come here because this place is a smorgasbord of Meat!
It's a good thing they have those red and green cards to tell servers when to go, go, go or to stop, stop, stop! Because believe me, you are gonna need them at some point during your meal otherwise those guys keep coming at you. My best advice to pass along is to not eat for the entire day before visiting (or perhaps two days) because no matter what you do you are gonna come out full. You are going to try and pace yourself and when you get there the stuff tastes so good you are going to keep going until the point of uncomfortableness.
If you haven't already gotten my drift, I will spell it out plainly...this restaurant is a carnivore's paradise! Where else can you sit down and have people bring you one yummy looking piece of meat after another? Sausage, prime rib, pork, veal, lamb, chicken, beef, ribs, in every form...you name it and they probably have a slab of it on hand, ready to be brought to your table for a tasting.
Besides the most delicious meats, they have a huge salad bar with all the things you think you would find like salad, pasta, bread, veggies, etc. Wait ! We're are not done yet, there are sides too. Save a spot in your tummy for the cheesy Mashed Spuds, fried bananas, polenta and more bread!
And as if that were not enough, make sure to save even more room for one of their well mixed cocktails/glasses of wine and dessert as those are quite tasty as well, I'm told !
