took 3 jalapeno's,cut ends off,split it on one side and deveined and deseeded. boiled in a mixture of water,brown sugar,garlic powder and mountain dew until tender crisp

this is a great little smoker for short cooks..it was the first cook so i didnt think it would go as well as it did..it still needs some tweeks, i need to drill a hole at grate level for the thermo, i dont care for the through the vent method..

i used lump and believe it was too hot for this little thing, maybe a waterpan or something similar. i got a big saucer in it but it didnt work all that well..

now if i was cooking a chicken, this thing would be great..held temp at 275+ the whole smoke, sometimes got wayyyyy hotter..after i started charcoal i ran with the intakes closed and was still hot...think i am going to modify the air intake differently.

overall i would recommend anybody build this, its a learning thing for sure but still an enjoyable smoker.
