Please tell us a bit about yourself here, and what your favorite dishes to cook are.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for having me.

Born in Germany, grew up for 34 years in the UK, moved to Amsterdam for 4 years and now live in California via Virginia. So my favourite things to cook are pretty varied! Married to a wonderful husband and run a 3D printed gifts company that I make in my garage. We have 3 rescue cats who pretty much rule our lives.

I do love taking pics of food though so I'll post some in the what you cooking thread when I do something worthy of posting haha.

I lived in the UK for several years.
West Yorkshire in West Ardsley Leeds then moved to Normanton Wakefield.
I still miss it at times.

I don't regret the move but I really miss it too. Not just family, but a lot about cuisine. Especially a good Indian restaurant.
Where did you live while in the UK?
I had many care assistants under me while working there as an EN who were Indian and Pakistani, I also worked with quite a few Australian and South African nurses who came over on work permits.
I worked for the NHS and BUPA in both care homes and hospitals, Leeds and Bradford infirmary, Wakefield hospice.

My Dad was in the army so all over really but apart from 18 months in Shropshire it was all in the south and mainly as an adult Hampshire. I worked for an Indian IT company in Basingstoke for years so we had a lot of people from all over as well, never met an Aussie I didn't get on with, there were a lot that came over straight after college and stayed for a couple of years before moving on to another country.

The longest I spent in Leeds was for a 20 minute meeting I drove 3,5 hours for then turned round and came back home for haha. Which years were you in the UK? I was very small when we left Germany and left in 2010.
