Empanada Gallega???

I love saturdays with PBS from 10am to 3:30.
So much food stuff to watch ....and 30 minutes of This Old House and 30 minutes of a garden show.
Anyway, this afternoon was a 60 minute show with Mario Batalli in Spain. The first 30 was with his spain tour with Gwenith Paltrow, which was good, but the second half he was tasting a scrumptious sample of something called "empanada gallega", a spanish savory pie of sorts.
It looked like this:

Unfortunately, I missed the recipe. I looked online and the pics and recipes attached don't come close to the picture above.
Does anyone have any TNT experience with these, cause this one sure looks to die for! (which looks like the one Mario sampled.)

Empanada Gallega: a fish pie, with sauce, onions and green peppers. Brought by the immigrants from Galicia.

this is a meat pastie of sorts

Ingredients:

1 lb minced ground pork (lean)

1 lb minced ground beef (lean)

1 lb minced ground veal (lean)

2 slices of bacon finely chopped

1 medium onion diced

1 teaspoon salt

1½ teaspoon savoury

1½ teaspoon cloves (optional)

1 garlic clove minced

1 teaspoon all-spice

1 cup water

1 cup mashed potato

1 carrot finely chopped

1 celery finely chopped

Combine all ingredients except mashed potato in a heavy pot and bring to boil.

Reduce heat and cook uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes, or long enough to remove the pink tone from the meat and reduce most of the water. The mixture should be damp but not watery. Add mashed potato.

Cool mixture and pour into large unbaked pie shell. Cover with pastry and prick to allow steam to escape.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce oven heat to 350 degrees and bake till crust is light brown.

Yeah. Bams recipe looks good, but not like the one I saw with Mario. There were tomatoes and and pork, but not most of those pastie ingredients. Mashed potatoes?
It looked more like the top of a pizza encrusted and served in wedges like pizza.

for the life of me i cannot find a video online, except if i want to buy the whole box set..lol

after searching for the past hour... then best i have come up with is that you could contact your local pbs station and ask them when and if they are going to broadcast the show again.

i do believe you are looking for episode #4 of the series..
