1 c slivered almonds
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c butter
1 T Karo light syrup
Line a 9" cake pan with foil, and butter it well.
Combine almonds,sugar, butter and syrup in a heavy skillet.
Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring til golden brown for approx. 5 minutes.
Pour into buttered pan and spread out evenly.
Cool completely, then lift from pan and break into pieces.
