I know the food pyramid, and Yale has some suggestions, CDC will give you some ideas for the right amount of fruits and veggies.........

This question is up to your own belief, not some ones elses list.

Do you eat enough fruits and veggies?

I eat some sort of vegetable every night, usually more of a portion than the protein on my plate. I have an issue if there's nothing green on my plate with dinner whether it be a salad or veg.

Fruits are so darn expensive we only have them every so often. I mean jeez, a bag of cherries is $10! The DW usually has grapefruit or oranges on hand but thats about it.

I said "not enough of either". I eat 2 servings of fruit a day (blueberries on my cereal and an orange for dessert for lunch).

I eat 1-2 servings of vegetables a day. I don't believe that's enough.

Pretty much the same here, veggies at every meal and not so many fruits.

I only eat green things that are supposed to be green! :bonk:

I don't know why I don't eat more fruit - I love it, and I buy it, but I forget about it and it rots. I usually have a salad with lunch and dinner, or some sort of vegetable, but mostly salad with cukes, roasted red peppers and cheese.

I actually eat more fruit than veggies. Always have it around for the kids-bananas, apples, oranges, pineapples, strawberries...easy snack and so tasty! Veggies, I just get burned out on them. I eat one every night with dinner, but that's about it.

I love fruits and vegis but don't seem to eat enough of them. I think it's simply a matter of convenience. It's a lot easier to stock up and eat other types of food.

I probably get enough veggies but not enough fruit. I do love grapes though. Put a bowl out, and I'll grab a couple every time I pass by.

I heard somewhere that we need 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. I interpreted that to mean any combination of the two that equals 5 would suffice. Not sure if that is correct though.
I normally do not get 5 total so I answered no to both on the poll. Some days I do better than others but a good day is 3 or 4 servings, which is better than I used to do.

Every meal except breakfast has veggies in it usually as a side. Snacks here are always a choice between the following:
Celery
Carrots
broccoli
Bananas
Apples
Oranges
grapes
Sometimes we also have grapefruit with breakfast (along with a banana).
We also keep strawberries, peaches, pineapple, and pears on hand to mix with low fat cottage cheese and or plain yogurt.

I chose not enough of either, even though I like fruits and veg. I seem to end up eating more cheese and bread. (And, of course, the most important food group - chocolate!)
