Dinner Today - Mar. 20

LOL! They have pork shoulder on sale at the grocery this week, and I'm really tempted to go get one! I might hold off until Sunday so my family doesn't think I'm obsessed!

Well, done with my din-din. I was pretty happy with everything except the outside color of the steak, but the insides were good. I was paying too much attention to the veggies, which I was very pleased with. So I need to tweak things a bit, too. The zucchini rocked. The lime juice marinade wasn't so much as the lime juice that was in it. It had a very fresh taste.
Everything was cooked on the Ducane.

Damn! That steak looks delicious. Do you cater to Ohio?:a1:
 
Well, here are the pics of us dressed up and ready to go out. Sorry, I don't do suit and tie LOL. The restaurant was great! They gave us fry bread to start out, then we tackled the buffet and dessert bars. All very very very good food! Cucumber salad, veggie salad, red cabbage salad, farmers cheese with paprika, a Hungarian version of Spatzel, fried zucchini, tomato soup, veggie soup (both to die for!), Parkikash, goulashes, pork loin (very tender!), roast beef (also great and juicy!), Hungarian burgers, some other stuff.
Over all, definitely worth the price and trip! Only draw back is they are waiting on their alcohol license so its water, pop, or ice tea.

Nice pics Chow and Lucky!! And great first effort Rob! If a bit dry is the worst you can say, hey that's great! You should complain to the manufacturer and see what they can do for you!

Well, first time using the smoker I find out the stock thermometer is reading anywhere from 50-100 deg. low... So I had to pull everything out early, and it was overcooked, but it was still edible. I didn't get a picture of the ribs, but here is one of half the chicken... Heh, it looks nice, and the dark meat and wings were fine, but the breasts were bone dry. The main portion of ribs was good, but the tail portion was a crispy critter...

That's a good looking bird! Once you learn you're smoker, you'll nail this in no time! Great job!
 
LOL yea the kids cartoon in the background! We did have a great night, the restaurant was great and it was nice getting away from the 3 rug rats for a couple of hours!
 
So nice to be served once in awhile. Glad it was good for the 2 of you.
Now get off the computer and spend some anniversary time, will ya?
