Din-Din for Saturday 31 Jan 09??????

I just got back from "The Cheesecake Factory". It was a splurge night on my diet and man am I paying for it already! I feel like I ate enough for 5 meals yet I came home with leftovers plenty for dinner tomorrow!
I had Madeira chicken with mozzarella, aspharagus, mushroom, and garlic mash potatoes, in a Madeira wine sauce........with a take home dessert of chocolate cake with ganache, chocolate chips and almonds!
I was only able to eat like two bite of the cake when my body screamed NO MORE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! NO MORE!!!! :in_love::in_love:

Kickoff is tomorrow at 6 PM something.
So you guys are pretty much in bed, right? That's why I was wondering if you Europeans watched it live.

I'm not sure if there is any station broadcasting it... but as well they don't show the DFB-Polal finals there, do they? :D

edit:
I just found out Germany's main broadcaster ARD shows it - but in the middle of the night... starts at 0.10am german time...

No. My bad, Joe. I shouldn't have dropped my question down a line. I reread it and it does look like a question to the group. Your satellit answer made sense though, if they have satellite TV over there. I have no clue.

I don't either since the last time I was there was in the early 80's, and we didn't have satellite here even.

I have no idea what those even are.....
But the NFL did send a regular season game over to England this past season. Or was that last season? Giants and Dolphins.

Thanks, Cara.
SB Sunday is such a big event here. And with the NFL trying to broaden their scope. I really was curious.

Feel like poo, poo so I thawed some homemade beef/barley soup.
I can't taste it, but it felt good going down.

Sorry to hear that! Your throat feels rough? Or is it the whole head/boady thing??

As for ME...... I went out to eat :thumb: All you can eat buffet with quality food!!!! It was excellent! They even have sushi!!!!!

Dinner was made by 9:30 this morning. Italian Wedding Soup, two loaves of Italian bread, and 2# of chicken salad from the simmered chicken.

Then I was bored so I made the strudel I was talking about making yesterday.

If you don't use parchment paper for some of your messier baking, you should really consider trying some. This strudel came right off the paper after it cooled completely. The parchment paper has a silicon coating that allows the food to easily release from the paper after baking or cooling, and there is no sticky gooey mess to scrape off your good cooking sheets.

It is funny you should mention the Italian Wedding cake. My grandmother used to make this up in large batches which meant we got it a couple of times a week till it was gone. My brother and I started calling it That Again which stuck because just today I got an email from my oldest son's wife asking if I knew what it was. It seems he has asked her to make it for them. I got a chuckle out of it and sent her my grandmother's recipe.

Couldn't make it out to the store today to pick up some staple things I needed for a new recipe. Hubby took car to work this morning because the roads were bad. He told me not to go anywhere, he was sliding all the way home.

So at the request of my family ... we had goulash. Kyle had buttered elbow macaroni with parmesan cheese.

Joe... food looks awesome!!! As always! My shrimp and grits turned out awesome. I need to start taking pics like you guys do!
