Chocolate with salt?

I'm pretty strict about getting the correct nutrients and eat an oz of dark chocolate every single day, without fail. If I'm lucky, I get discounted Taza chocolate at TJ Maxx and last time they had an Almond Sea Salt bar.

I didn't think the flavors went together but bought it anyway. Mentioned it to DH who expressed interest in it so I'm bringing it home tonite.

Does that even sound good? Chocolate and salt?

ayup. salt & sweet makes for saliva.

we were in a chocolate specialty shop - they had chocolate with flavors I'd never seen, heard of or thought of - like really really weird stuff . . . . apparently it's the 'in' thing.

Chocolate and sea salt go wonderfully together. In fact, it is about the only chocolate that I will eat!

is to my understanding that chocolate is enhanced by salt, & that flavors're drawn from chocolate via salt that u would not normally notice.
they sell scads of chocolate here, w/ seasalt. often fleur de sal. i would luv to try a piece, 'cept caffeine is not my pal. they make salted caramel, too.
