For bananas

4 bananas (2 diced, 2 quartered lengthwise)
2T butter
4T brown sugar
6T dark rum

Blend diced bananas with rum in small bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes. Heat half the butter and half the brown sugar in heavy frying pan. Carefully add the diced bananas and rum. Watch for flames! Heat through but don't let them get mushy. Spoon into bowls or any nice looking glass that can take a warm beverage.

Melt the remaining butter and sugar...saute the banana quarters and add to the sides of the bowl/cups.

For the soup

2 c. light cream
8 oz good quality dark chocolate.

Bring the cream to a boil. Add the chocolate (break it down to small pieces) and stir to melt. Bring to another boil and stir for a minute. Let cool slightly, whisking to help speed the cooling. Gently spoon over bananas.

The topping was sweetened whipped cream.

Vera, I cannot adequately convey to you how very much I want one of those mugs of "soup" right now!

Oh, the humanity!
