CHIPOTLE SLAW

CHIPOTLE SLAW

1/2 c. real Mayonnaise
1/4 c. Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
2 TBL fresh lime juice
2 TBL honey
1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
Sea Salt and fresh-ground black pepper to taste
1 Medium head green cabbage, shredded
2 large carrots, finely shredded
1 small red onion, halved, thinly sliced
1/4 c. fresh Cilantro, chopped


Combine Mayo with next 5 ingredients; blend
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving
 
Now, this looks very interesting to me, Lucky.

QBro is hell-bent on trying chipotles in adobo sauce, since he's seen so many cooks use it on TV. But the one experience I had with it, a little bit nearly took the top of my head off!

So, Lucky, how hot is this slaw? You think a pepper-wimp like me would like it?

Here's a clue: Frank's hot sauce is the only hot sauce I use on a regular basis.

Y'know, tastes vary so ........ I'm a Hot Sauce Freak, as you know, so I'm not a good one to ask..........
I Will say that, when I do this, I use 1/3 c. of the chipotles...........
 
Okay, me too!

Maybe one small chipotle, minced and a couple of drops of adobo sauce. LOL!

This sounds great! I would definitely back off on the chipotles. I would start with way less and taste. You can always add more.
