Cheeseburger Pie

1lb lean ground beef
1large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
1/2 tsp. salt
1c. shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
1/2 c. Original Bisquick mix
1c. milk
2 eggs

Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.

In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in salt.
Spread in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.

In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate.
Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Bake 30 to 35 minutes.

Lucky, have you made this? What did you think?

I am going to make a cheeseburger pie tomorrow night, and the recipe I have uses a pie crust bottom (which I have, storebought).

But I also have Bisquick. and the rest of the stuff in your recipe.

Not sure which to make, now.

Yeah, Mon !
This is a go to recipe..... I recommend it, but remember, your tastes and mine may be different..... I tend to go to "Impossible" (Bisquick) recipes regularly....

Why not do pie crust bottom and bisquik top? Post pics please.

I went with Lucky's recipe, since it is so easy and I almost always have all of the ingredients.

I can see why it's his go-to recipe - it's DELICIOUS! I made it exactly as written, except I kept the chopped onions raw (the way I like them on a burger).

This is a keeper! Might add more cheese next time. Maybe top with some chopped bacon.

Thanks, Lucky! :respect:
