Just like my Artie! cannot stand to be shut out of my bedroom! expect, mine jumps on door, meows, and tries to open the handle!!!

He will keep trying until he figures it out. My cat not only can open a door it knows if it can't it will knock constantly. About 2AM is feeding time in my house and to make that point know one will get on the bed and wake up my wife by nibbling on her chin. She gets up puts out their food and back to bed. He doesn't do it to me as the first time he nibbled my chin he didn't like my reaction with him hitting the wall.
 
I have two labradors. They do not see a door as a problem. All my doors have handicap handles and they know how to open them.
 
I love it!

I had a cat who learned how to open doors. My Aunt and Uncle were staying in the guest room. They saw the door handle slowly turn and were alarmed. Then the door opened and in strolled Tiger tail high.

Another learned how to turn on the hot water in the back porch so that the room would be nice and warm all night. That didn't help the water and gas bill.
