"We're at Goldman Park and they have a bunch of the inner tube play sets and the wind just blew them completely across the park and there's kids inside of them," a 911 caller said just after the incident. "I don't know how many kids. There's kids inside though. They went flying across the air.""The wind blew real hard and blew it over and kids were flying everywhere," witness Katiya Braswell said

The attraction floated over a batting cage set up at Goldman Park and landed a few feet away, and onlookers cut a hole in the ride's fabric to remove the boy.

The slide landed on a woman sitting nearby and injured her arm, and a girl said one of the ride's straps had wrapped around her arm and caused an abrasion.Investigators said the slide came loose when an 18-inch metal bar pulled from the ground, but the ride's owner said the attraction had passed a state inspection the day before, and police confirmed that the proper permits had been filed."Everybody that was involved with the event, I apologize for the accident that happened. It's something that couldn't be helped, freak of nature. I'm sorry," Young American Youth Advanced Services director Louis Gibbs said.Maloney, who suffered only minor injuries, said he had gotten bored while visiting the park and asked the ride's attendant if he needed help.He said the attendant allowed him to sit near the top of the slide to ensure only one child got inside at a time."The inflatable slide is, like, 40 feet in the air and I'm thinking, 'Hang on or I'm going to die,'" Tyler Maloney said. "And it was just the craziest thing that's ever happened to me."His mother, Melissa, said she saw what was happening out of the corner of her eye."So I just took off running. And when I got over there I just screamed for him and looking for him and couldn't find him and he wasn't answering me," she said. "When I finally found him he was laying on the ground and there was people holding him, holding his head still and telling him don't move. And I'm crying and I'm panicking.""I tried to get up and walk," Tyler Maloney said. "But they told me I should just lie down and wait for the paramedics to come."The incident remains under investigation, but Tyler Maloney said he's done with inflatable slides."That experience made me totally terrified of those slides," he said. "Really, at the beginning I thought it was one big nightmare and I thought I was going to wake up."The family hasn't ruled out legal action.
