oh dear - I'll be right over - don't bother I'll bring my own napkin!

veddy nicely done - my screen over-drooleth!

Question: how do you poach your eggs? (the mechanics . . .)
I was once a purist and just carefully dropped them in simmering water . . . okay, shape is an issue....

since, I've settled on a glass bowl set in the water at a simmer to "contain" the egg a bit - yours looks perhaps even more contained / more better shaped - I'm always on the watch for better methods

Cooksie, your food pics are always perfection my dear.

The second one is now my desktop background lolol

Hope you don't mind :D

I have never had eggs benedict, but after seeing these photos Cooksie, I am definately wanting to. :)

Thanks lilylove, ChowderMan, and mhend! Sass, you have made my day :D. I'm honored :flowers:.

ChowderMan, I use these silicone egg poachers. You just lightly spray them with Pam, put your egg in, and set them into gently boiling water for about 4 minutes. The eggs come out easily, and clean up is a breeze.

Cooksie, just curious, what is the difference between a poached egg and a soft egg? Never have tried a poached one:dizzy:.....Looks delish......:thumb:

Beautiful job, Cooksie! I have those egg pods, too - they're great!

Meme, a poached egg is cooked without shell. A soft-boiled egg is cooked in the shell, for 4-5 minutes, just so the white is congealed but the yolk still runny.
