I bought a loaf of sourdough French bread and cut off the crust to make croutons. The crust is very chewy but good, so I'm saving it and calling it "Crust Jerky".
What would you do to these crusts to make them taste more like jerky?
Lee, I don't know if you could marinate them in liquid smoke, brown sugar, garlic powder etc.. then maybe bake them on low?
