BEST Guacamole and Garlic Pita Chips

These two recipes came from a WW cookbook, but were delicious!

Best guacamole I've ever had!

2T of the guac is 1 p+ and 6 pita chips is 1 p+

Excellent!

Chunky Guacamole

2 ripe avocados, roughly mashed
1 small jalapeno, finely chopped
1/2 small onion (red, if you have it), small chop
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
1 T. lime juice
1/2 teas. salt

Mix all and chill.


Garlic and Onion Pita Chips

4 (6 inch) oat bran pita pockets
2 large egg whites
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teas. onion powder
1/2 teas. spicy something - I used Tony Cachere's
3 T. Parm cheese

Preheat oven to 350.

Cut each pita in half to make 8 rounds. Cut each round into quarters.

Spray a rimmed baking sheet with Pam or use parchment paper.

Beat egg whites till frothy. Add in garlic, onion powder, and spice blend into egg whites. Brush each pita wedge with egg white mixture. Sprinkle each with Parmesan cheese.

Bake until cheese is melted and edges are brown, 10-15 minutes. Let cool completely on a rack.
